Hi, Rue and Brian of this Practical Spirituality Bookshop. We met in the year 2000, the first year of the new millennium - was that an omen! Both of us had gone through the trauma of divorce - and yet it was that trauma that had activated within us a yearning to learn more about ourselves, why we were here, could Spirituality help when religion didn't seem to? At that time, we had each been following our own Spiritual paths but it wasn't until we met each other that our individual Spirituality became enhanced, Mariah joined us soon after and she has become a big part of our lives. Before I met Brian, he had channelled over 80 poems, although he didn't understand that part of it. He just knew he was constantly getting the urge to write down these words/sentences that kept coming into his head. We decided to print a selection of the poems at the end of the year 2000 - and found the process very costly, then a kind neighbour showed me how to print our own books on our computer and now we have done around 60! The next logical step was to go into E-books so here we are. Obviously we have all these books in printed form so they are available in either form although postage will be a factor.
We call ourselves "Practical Spirituality" as we wanted to let people know that the kind of Spirituality we worked with really was helpful - you can learn to dialogue your own Spirit and ask them questions like; Is that person telling me the truth? or is this the right person for this job?; Is this food safe to eat; that person is coughing, are they infectous? What is wrong with me that I have so little energy? Your Spirit can answer all these questions and more. Be very clear in what you ask as often it is the way you ask that you get an answer you feel is wrong and makes you feel confused. We do Spiritual Counselling, and Healing (your own Spirit within is you best diagnostician and can also advise you of your best course of action) and our daily discussions often lead to asking for 'distant Healing'for someone.
Life has been very exciting for us with what we have learned since the start of this new millennium, and it is this pledge that we wish to share with you and enable you to further your own development in a way that is acceptable to you.
